Why Jesus

Why Jesus?  My desire is to give you profound insight that can enrich the love you have for God and for others.

In this section I will share insights of why Jesus came that are not commonly known, why we need him, and how he is so vital to our life (now and everlasting).

I will explain scripture in the Bible that hopefully provides you with increased awareness, clarity, perspective, and awakening to help make a difference in your relationship with God and with others in your life (especially your spouse, children, and key people in your life).

Why Jesus?

I will start with why Jesus came. He came to save us. And he saved us because God loves us and wants us to know how much He loves us. I would estimate most people realize God loves us and Jesus came to save us and to pay for all our sins (salvation). This is generally viewed as God’s grace or forgiveness for our sins, and that by believing in Jesus Christ as our savior we shall not perish but have life everlasting.

Here is some insight that I have found that I didn't know or have seen that many others didn't seem to know.

He came to change me. He came to change all of us. He came to change my heart.

You see, we need to be saved from our hard selfish hearts. Here is the key insight that I didn't see and what I believe many others don't see. He came to save us by changing us.

Let me repeat that ... Jesus came to save me by changing me. Many think he came to give us "a ticket" out of here.

What I've found, is many think that salvation is "a ticket" to eternity. Or as I like to say "a ticket to paradise", thus the destination seems to be the common reason for Jesus coming. But saving us was because we needed to saved (a.k.a. we need to be changed). Saved = Changed.

Okay, sounds reasonable right? So what did I need to be saved from, or changed from, and what did I need to be changed to.

If I was dead in my sin, what does this mean? And if I am alive in Christ, what does this mean? This is very important to understand so that we can have a transformation from the old way to the new way. From the old man to the new man. From sin and death to ______________?  Many don't realize they have been changed or don't really understand and live out who they are in Christ Jesus.
